The past 40 years has been an adventure in the travel and cruise industry which has seen us have the privilege of visiting over 120 countries and sailing on the sea on all types of cruising vessels for over 900 nights, covering all 7 continents.
We are without doubt Tasmania’s most awarded travel agency especially in the cruising sector with awards from CLIA for Best Cruise Agency and BEST Mobile Cruise Advisor and Robyn was awarded the coveted Cruise Champion for Australasia.
Our ‘first hand’ experience is second to none and we provide a complete travel service which is personal and friendly, totally mobile and able to take our office to your home or office. We provide 24/7 service with our clients understanding we are there for them before, during and after their journey. Our expertise is itinerary planning, unique, one off experiences tailor made to suit, you the traveller!

Kyle Duffield
Since serving in the Air Force in the 1980’s I have always had the travel bug, and on leaving the military I jumped straight into a role at the national carrier, Qantas.
My years in the Travel Industry have allowed me to experience many roles, like working on the phones in call centres, face to face sales positions with customers and directly with other travel suppliers.
I started in reservations for Qantas selling wholesale holiday packages to travel agents but quickly moved into a sales executive role. For the next decade I became a respected and professional travel member collecting industry awards and working my way into management, with Viva, Qantas Holidays and Air Pacific/Qantas.
I left Qantas to take a position with the Globus Family of brands and Regional Sales Manager for Southern Australia. This was my time to learn about the tour industry with worldwide under the Globus and Cosmos brands and also river cruising with Avalon Waterways.
In 2008 my partner Tony and I decided to make the move to from Melbourne to Tasmania to run an accommodation business. We purchased a self-contained property on the beach in Bicheno on Tasmania’s East Coast. Within a short time we had built a loyal base of customers and had won numerous State and National Tourism Awards. Our property Sandpiper Ocean Cottages won the ‘Hall of Fame’ in the Tasmanian Tourism Awards which I am very proud of. Whilst also running Sandpiper I was the Tasmanian Business Development Manager for Tempo Holidays and Bentours, specialists in Europe and Scandinavia, including Hurtigruten.
In 2018 we sold Sandpiper and purchased Timbertop, our house in the village of Bicheno. I knew I wanted to continue selling travel and was thrilled to become a team member at Home Travel Company with Robyn, Murray, Stacey and Karen. Now I can use all of my skills and knowledge to assist customers with tailored itineraries and expert advice.
During Covid I worked helping clients navigate the process of refunds, credits and rebooking, sticking to the time of recovery.
I consider myself to be a specialist in many destinations including the Arctic, Antarctica, Scandinavia and Europe, North America, South America and Antarctica.
I have been to every continent, some times over and both poles.
2023 marks my 34th year in the Travel Industry, and industry that I enjoy immensely and deeply care for.
Stacey Lyons
I have been working in the travel industry for 25 years. During this time, I have travelled to over 50 countries and all 7 continents. My favourite way to travel is onboard a cruise ship! The benefit of unpacking once and being taken from one place to the next to explore is so relaxing and easy, especially when I’m travelling with the whole family! I also enjoy travelling to different parts of the globe that are ‘not as easily accessible’ and not considered by most travellers… for example, Wadi Rum in Jordan, Lapland in Finland, Ecuadorian Amazon, Mostar in Bosnia Herzegovina etc…
My favourite destination, so far, is Antarctica! From the remoteness, amazing wildlife, gob-smacking scenery, and diverse landscapes, this is a destination everyone should put on their bucket list!
I am passionate about travel and I’m always learning about new destinations & product. Karen Flood
Starting in travel about the time of the ANSETT collapse, I have been helping people plan and immerse themselves in their dream holidays ever since.
I have experienced over 25 countries and love interesting cities like London, Paris, Athens, Rome, New York and Las Vegas.
From the scenic beauty of the Grand Canyon, Canada and Africa to marvelling at the Amalfi Coast, I get excited by seeing your dreams come to life and there to support you all the way. I still love to look after my clients in a relaxed informal manner and enjoy taking and travelling with Groups watching their faces for the first time discover the wonder of a new place on their bucket list.
