“I have been working in the travel industry for 17 years. During this time I have travelled to over 40 countries in 6 continents. My passion is adventure travel but over the past few years I have developed a taste of the ‘cruise ship’ lifestyle due to the improved itineraries and ease of it all.

My favourite destination, so far, is South America as I am interested in the history and culture of the region and I have lived in Honduras and speak Spanish, – As a MUM of two younger children I also understand family travel, taking the children along for all to enjoy the holiday.

“I started in the Travel Industry in 1989, working for Qantas as a reservations consultant for Viva! Holidays. I knew in an instant that this was the career for me. After a short while on the phones I moved into Sales and Marketing and spent the next 10 years working as a Sales Executive for Qantas Holidays. I was responsible for looking after Travel Agents in Victoria and Tasmania, updating on product, destination and system training and customer service. During this period I extensively travelled throughout Asia and the Americas, escorting groups and enjoying my own holidays. After ten years at Qantas I was appointed Manager of Qantas GSA for Air Pacific (Fiji’s National Airline) Vic/SA/Tas. This was a challenging time as I was building confidence back into the destination following the Coup. It didn’t take long before flights were back on track and at full capacity. In 2002 I had a career change and joined the Globus Family of brands (Globus, Cosmos, Avalon Waterways, Monograms). During this period I was Regional Sales Manager for Southern Australia, once again looking after the travel industry. For the next six years I extensively travelled Europe in depth, touring, cruising, self-drive and rail. Then in 2008 I made the big sea change and moved from Melbourne (St Kilda) to Bicheno, Tasmania. I purchased beachside tourist accommodation and built it up to win State and National Awards. At the same time I worked as a contractor for Tempo Holidays, Bentours, Hurtigruten, specialists to Europe, Sth America, India, Middle East, Scandinavia, Russia and the Arctic/Antarctic. Now I’m free to share all of that knowledge with you.”
