Is Vietnam’s third largest city and the principal port in the central part of the country.  It was originally known as Cho Han , later to be renamed Tourane by the French.  Da Nang is the threshold of becoming a major destination in itself with tourists flocking to the area due to it’s spectacular scenery , great resorts and friendly locals.

It was on Da Nangs’ coast where the first US troops landed 8 March 65 in what we call the Vietnam war, and as the war progressed the airport’s runway was extended to become the longest in all of Southeast Asia.,

Da Nang fell to the Viet Cong in March 75, this signified South Vietnam’s defeat in the war, and despite it’s war torn history, Da Nang is one of the  most progressive cities taking advantage of new free market principles.

Da Nang is familiar to many who watched the movie Good Morning Vietnam and the popular series China Beach.
